Analogue television will be phased out in the next few years, so now is the time to upgrade you aerial system so it is ready for when you have to change.
Lots of people have already switched to the new format and are already getting the benefit of crystal clear high definition programming, by investing in a HD capable plasma or LCD television with a built in digital tuner. For those with an existing flat panel TV there are set top boxes which tune the digital signal.
All these televisions and set top boxes require a high quality stable signal to prevent the break up of the digital signal and the pixelation of the program.
DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television) is broadcast on UHF frequencies. To recieve them you require an aerial designed for UHF digtal reception. The older type of UHF aerial often doesn't have the required connections to maintain a signal quality the will prevent the pixelation of the picture on your screen.
The stricter requirements also hold true for any components in the cable system as well, such as splitters, outletts and fly leads.
Mainland Aerials are able to supply and install new aerial systems or upgrade older sytems to a digital standard.
